I'm a well educated professional that's transitioning into doing the work of my heart. I'm a very positive kind of guy; the kind that can restore your faith in people. My favorite things include cycling, board games, camping, hiking and massage (both giving and getting!). I love animals and children. I was a world class athlete in my younger days, and competed in national chamionships in 4 different sports. The fitness mindset and regimen are still a big part of who I am. Not many in my age group can keep up with me.

I have a 12 yr old son who lives with me half of the time and is the light of my life. We spend a lot of time together, and have the kind of relationship that I never had with my father.

You should know that I'll always choose substance over style. I believe that life is about making joy and sharing it. I'm a great listener. I'm told that my great gift is helping people feel good about themselves.

The most important qualities that I like in you are intelligence, kindness, positive attitude, a healthy body and a sense of humor. You should be happy and at peace with yourself, a bringer of joy to others, and someone that sees intimacy as an expression of joyful spirituality. A sense of adventure and a willingness to 'take the leap of faith' will go a long way as well. Beyond that I don't believe in listing what "I want" in a partner. I don't have an "ideal" partner. You'll find that I am open to all different kinds of people. When you have expectations, or idealized images, it keeps you from truly seeing the person that is in front of you. Surprises are among the best things in life!
